Golf in Greece is finally getting kicked up a notch; Aegean Airlines has joined with the Costa Navarino Resort to create the sixth annual Aegean Pro-Am tournament to be held on June 1-4, 2011. Over fifty international teams consisting of one pro with three amateur players are expected to vie for prizes and prestige at the course.
Greece is looking to stimulate golf tourism in the coming years and while it needs a few more quality courses built to really qualify as a modern golfing destination, this is a good start.
