Legend says that the princess Nausicaa rescued the water-logged Odysseus along this coast. Reality reports that Swiss course architect Donald Harradine arrived in the Ropa Valley for a different purpose -- to create what some regard as the best-designed course in Greece. “Our course is often included in top-100 lists of European golf courses,” Constantine Tsaoussoglou, whose Tsaoussoglou Enterprises owns the course, states. The Encyclopedia of Golf classed it as “One of the greatest courses in Europe”.

The parkland-style course is located twenty minutes’ drive outside of Corfu Town on the Greek island of Corfu, also known as Kerkyra. Mild winter temperatures in the Ionian islands make this one of the best choices for year-round golf in Greece. Corfu’s varied history has produced an island that is more European than strictly Greek, with Venetian, British, and French influences combining to create an interesting atmosphere and unusual collection of architecture.

Hotels: There are many fine hotels located within a short drive to the golf course. The owners also operate the Corfu Holiday Palace, a deluxe hotel located on the opposite coast of Corfu, and guests there receive special rates on golf.
