The Bottom Line
Great idea, great quality products, great packaging - big mistake in omitting shampoo and/or conditioner. If you've just been stripped of your toiletries at security and grab this to fill in the gaps, you'll be disappointed.

Pros
  • High-quality products
  • Great selection of scents
  • Easy to get through security
  • Bright contemporary packaging
Cons
  • And now I'll wash my hair - wait, where's the shampoo? Shower gel? Help! There aren't any.
Description
  • At this time, this kit is primarily sold at airports.
  • It comes in two versions, one for men and one for women.
  • Men's fragrances include the easy-to-confuse Fresh Woody, Citrus Woody, Morning Fresh and Citrus Fresh.
  • Women's fragrances include Violet Kisses, Berry Blossom Blend, Asian Lotus Ginger, and Blush Rose Yuzu.
  • The woman's version includes face cleanser, face cream, body lotion, deodorant, hair gel, toothpaste, toothbrush and razor.
  • The men's version offers cleanser, shave gel, post shave cream, lotion, deodorant, hair gel, toothpaste, toothbrush, & razor.
  • Package says the box should go through security but they include a plastic baggie anyway. My advice? Put the box in the bag.
Guide Review - Travel Product
I like this product in general so knocking off the stars above was hard to do, but I very nearly relied on a sample kit I received recently for a short trip. When I discovered there was no shampoo or conditioner, yet there is a full-size razor, it seemed to me they are spending way too much attention on my potential body hair at the clear expense of my head hair. Do they really think I'll need to shave my legs more often than I'll need to wash my hair?

Or do they think that every place in the world provides shampoo and conditioner in your room? Some of the most interesting world travels will never encounter a two-ounce bottle in the bathroom. And while I'm at it, in these germ-laden times, it also omits a pleasant hand-sanitizer.

I like the environmentally-friendly paper tubes which have the uncanny ability to reseal themselves when you pinch the top. Each container provides enough for about six uses, though that's dependent on what you do with them. (I doubt the body lotion would be good for more than one full-body massage, if that.)

The anti-aging face cream is richly emollient and is something I'd buy separately if it were available.

In short, I'm looking forward to the MySmartPac 2.0.
