Hotel philoxenia

By deTraci Regula, About.com

Small Hotel in Northern Greece:
The hotel offers 31 rooms and one suite. They feature traditional archways and stonework in some rooms. All rooms have balconies and either an Aegean sea view or a view of the pine-covered mountains.
Open Year Round:
The Philoxenia is open 12 months a year. In summer, the swimming pool and huge bar area is open.
Wi-Fi Available - and if it is, it's free:
The Philoxenia is honest - they state that there is the "possibility" of Wi-Fi in some areas of the hotel. As an aside, all hotels with lots of stonework in their walls tend to have problems with Wi-fi reaching everywhere.
Hotel Philoxenia:
"Philoxenia" means "Love of visitors (or foreigners)". Zeus himself was called "Xenios", so it's a long-held tradition to welcome guests -there are even folktales that all must be welcomed because they might be Zeus himself in disguise, come to check on the hospitality services. Manager Dimitris Kesmeris should be ready even for that!
