The Greek island of Naxos is distinguished by high mountains which rise up abruptly from the shoreline. The tallest peak in the Greek islands, Mount Zas, is named for the Greek god Zeus, who tended to claim any local Olympic-sized peak for his own. While many travelers do visit Naxos, it's not overrun by tourists and most of its income comes from its agriculture.
