Guide Review - Festival in Athens
Previously, the bi-annual "Oenorama" provided the only chance to encounter Greek wines en masse. The Dionyssia Wine Festival is an annual event sponsored by Vinetum, a wine marketing company. Despite its definitely commercial nature, it is a great way of getting introduced to a large number of Greek wines in a short period of time. This event is more accessible to the general public than Oenorama and takes place at the Zappeion near Syntagma Square, located in the National Gardens.

Dionyssia is very easy to reach by public transportation; use the Syntagma Metro station, getting out as near to the Parliament Building as possible. Once above ground, move away from the Parliament Building and enter the National Gardens. Follow the signs to the Zappeion Megaron.

2007 Dates: February 23-25th
Tickets: 15 Euro
Tickets (in 2007) include your badge, an English and Greek catalogue of the exhibition, and a free wineglass.
