Here, in a set depicting the Chapel of Agios Ioannis on the Greek island of Skopelos (Kalokairi in the movie), we see Amanda Seyfried in a wedding gown. While the Chapel is Greek, the minister in the movie appeared to be Anglican rather than Greek Orthodox, a highly unlikely event in any Greek chapel. But the exterior shots of the chapel in the movie are 100% real, and there are many churches and chapels in Greece that are in equally gorgeous locations.
The stefana, or wedding crown, is traditional - very traditional. Some say that the custom dates back to ancient times, when it was considered to be sacred to Aphrodite, the source of the springs in the movie.
My only problem with the sequence? There is a last-minute decision that has some of the characters leaving Greece to "see the world". Um, why? Have they looked around where they are?
