Sirens Resort - An Oasis for the Handicapped in Greece:

Sirens Resort has been designed specifically for the disabled or wheelchair-using traveler.

Handicapped Facilities at the Sirens Resort:

The Sirens resort consists of five fully-furnished, apartment-type units.

Specially Equipped Wheelchair-lift Van Will Pick You Up:

The Sirens Resort offers a specially-equipped van for transfers between the resort and the Athens International Airport, as well as for day trips.

Full Beach Access for the Disabled:

The Sirens Resort is located on the sea and has a wheelchair ramp into the water. There is easy access to the beach itself. There is also a big-wheeled "beach" wheelchair which works on both the sand and in the water close to shore.

Outdoor Areas are Fully Accessible:

  • Wheelchair ramps into and out of the apartments

  • Paved pathways for wheelchairs throughout the garden

  • Outdoor barbeque

  • Easy-access parking area

Self-Catering Facility:

Since the apartments are equipped with kitchens, there is no food service provided.

Amenities Provided

Each of the five apartments offers the following:

  • Specially-equipped bathrooms for easy access for wheelchair users
  • Clear indoor areas for easy wheelchair access
  • Fully-furnished apartments (bedroom, living-room, kitchen)
  • Basic home equipment
  • Air conditioning
  • TV

Beyond the resort itself, the staff at Sirens can arrange many other local activities and assistance services. These include: Transportation from and to the Athens International Airport

  • Car rental (ordinary cars or adapted mini-vans)

  • Special equipment rental is available, like shower wheelchair, electric wheelchair, hoist, rolling table etc. Please give advance notice if you need these items.

  • Guided, wheelchair-friendly tours to Athens, Delphi, Olympia or the local area of the Peloponissos Peninsula can be arranged on request

  • Sailing cruises on an adapted yacht to the islands of the Argosaronicos Gulf

  • Short trips for 3-5 days in accessible rooms in Athens hotels

    While the bedrooms designated for the wheelchair user are fully accessible, the "companion" bedrooms are not .
