Variety Cruises operates a number of cruises in Greece and one of them may be a good match for your vacation in Greece. Instead of huge vessels, most Variety ships are smaller "mega-yacht" ships with 24 to 36 cabins which can dock at alternate harbors and avoid the lines and crowds and the hassle of disembarking by tender. This also allows them some more flexibility on arrival and departure times which can avoid the times of greatest crush when the small-city size vessels pull into port. Two of the ships, the Galileo and the Panorama, are multi-masted power sailing ships.

Variety Yachting offers even smaller vessels for an intimate experience of both the Greek islands and your fellow passengers.

Though the experience can actually be superior to the super-ships, the base prices are usually lower, making one wonder just how much those questionable "Las Vegas Style" shows on some cruise lines really cost the passenger. As usual, port excursions are extra.

Variety Summer Cruises of Greece

Jewels of the Cyclades
Turquoise Coast & Islands of the Eastern Aegean
Istanbul to Athens
Classical Greece - I like this option as it makes a nice circle through the Aegean and focuses entirely on Greek ports.
Aegean Odyssey
In winter, Variety also offers their "From Antiquity to Byzantium" Cruise which includes some Greek destinations as well.

Variety also offers other Mediterranean and Black Sea cruises which do not include Greek destinations, but we're focusing on the Greek offerings here.
