Variety Cruises, a smaller-ship cruise line serving Greece via self-proclaimed "mega-luxury yachts", is offering Early Bird Specials for the Spring 2011 cruise season in the Greek islands. Their base prices per person per week even before the discount are not bad, either, so this can be a very good value.

Passengers who plan ahead can save up to 20% on fares booked by February 1, 2011. This discount can also be combined with their "low-season" discount of 10% on some sailings, assuring up to 30% off the list price. The discount trips are offered all year long, but cabins are said to be limited on each sailing.

Jewels of the Cyclades: The M/S Galileo travels through the Greek islands including Poros, Santorini, Paros, Mykonos, Kea and Sounion. 20% Early Bird discount dates for 2011: April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; July 8, 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12, 19, 26; October 28; November 4, 11, 18.
10% Early Bird discount 2011: May 6, 13, 20, 27; June 3, 10, 17, 24; July 1; September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; October 7, 14, 21.
Additional low season 10% discount applies to April 1, 8, 15, Oct. 28, November 4, 11, 18.
Regular fares begin at $1,890 per person, per week.
