Shedding Light on Her Art

Many of her paintings depict Greek mythological scenes and Native American shamanic figures. "I'm reluctant to say what I was trying to achieve," the self-taught artist told me. "People see such amazing images in them that I never intended, and I don't like to get in the way of their own interpretations." To commemorate the first-ever "opening" of the gallery, one of the other guests, Anne, an opera singer from the States, sang an a capella aria while the torchlight flickered.
