The Essential Acropolis View:
While not available from all rooms, the Hotel Hera offers some Acropolis-view rooms. The rooftop bar and restaurant provides a view of the iconic landmark. The hotel is not a high-rise one, so some of the views are more looking up at the Acropolis and Parthenon rather than overlooking it.
Luxurious Amenities:
The Hotel Hera, perhaps aware that it is named after the luxury-loving wife of Zeus, Hera, provides good quality linens and comfy beds. (Since it is said that Hera kept Zeus occupied for a 300-year honeymoon, that is naturally an essential.)
Hera Hotel:
The Hera Hotel is nicely situated in the center of Athens near the Acropolis, Plaka, and Syntagma Square. Rooms are listed through the hotel website at about Euro 115 for the shoulder season, with the option to include or omit breakfast for just 4 Euro more. They also offer advance booking via their website.
While individual guests are welcome, the hotel is popular among upper-mid-range tour operators and also caters to Spanish-speaking visitors to Athens.
