Athens Airport Have A Nice Flight Sign

The Eleftherios Venizelos (Athens) airport at Spata - a wish for travelers to have a nice flight.

The Bottom Line

Sky Express flies from its base in Crete to almost anywhere in the Greek islands by charter, and also offers some scheduled flights as well out of Heraklion Airport.
Pros
  • Arranging your own charter flight for a small group can be surprisingly affordable.
  • Their rates on scheduled flights are competitive.
Cons
  • The plane is a small one, with prop engines rather than jets.
  • They presently have just one plane, an 18-seat BAe Jetstream.

Description

  • The founder and often captain of the plane is highly experienced, and used to be the personal pilot for the prime minister.
  • Bear in mind that some Olympic Airlines flights to the islands are also in smaller prop planes.
  • Flight times are about the same as jet aircraft over short distances.

Guide Review - Sky Express

If you don't mind smaller planes, this airline fills in some schedule gaps for flights from Crete.
