This illuminated manger is the centerpiece of the Christmas festivities on the Greek islands of Antiparos. It's constructed mainly of palm fronds from the trees which grow on the island. Elsewhere, palm fronds are usually only associated with Palm Sunday prior to Easter. But here they make a nice green manger.
