Maybe this isn't the best use of fireworks - after all, the Parthenon was destroyed by a rocket fired by the Venetians when they were fighting the Ottomans - who were using the Parthenon as an ammunition storehouse. Until then, the ancient building had withstood almost 1500 years of abuse and neglect. It must tremble when these are fired off.
