Top Ten "Unknown" Greek Destinations: #3 - Dounoussa and Schinoussa
The Small Cyclades are gradually growing more popular, as these tiny islands in the shadow of nearby Naxos are becoming known as yachter's destinations. They have a long way to go before true commercialization strikes - at present, there are only rooms to rent in local houses, no true hotels, and no banks. Dounoussa is the least visited, despite two good beaches. Ano Koufonissi is the commercial hub of the "back islands" - which isn't saying much.
