2000 Santorini International Music Festival
For 22 years, the beautiful Greek island of Santorini (Thira) has enjoyed a magnificent music festival featuring both Greek and international artists. Admission is just 5000 drachmas per concert, and the concert series runs between September 3rd and September 17th.
Tickets and accommodations in Santorini can be ontained through all main tourist offices.
All concerts are held at the "Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre" in Fira. Phone (in Greece) (0286) 23 166 and 22 622, Fax 23645.
The "Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre" is a magnificent complex of buildings dominating the town of Fira and the caldera. It was inagurated in September 1989. The main hall is built in the style of a previous neoclassical mansion on the same site, which dated from the late 1800s.
