Steve Outram's Photo Tours of Greece

Want a picture-perfect trip to Greece? This is one way

By deTraci Regula, About.com

There we are, duly festooned with digital cameras, disposable cameras, disposable waterproof cameras, and video cameras, carrying extra film, extra batteries, maybe even a laptop to ease uploading of our Greek photographic bounty.

So why are most of us still spinning those postcard racks and grabbing "real" pictures of the Acropolis? With all this equipment, we have to know what we're doing, right?

Hm, maybe not.

Since taking pictures is a big part of almost everyone's trip, it may make sense to take a trip that not only allows for some great photo opps, but also gives you instruction that will stay with you through a lifetime of other adventures in exotic locations.

Steve Outram is a Chania-based photographer whose travel work has been published around the world in major guidebooks and whose art photos are avidly collected. Twice a year, in spring and fall, he leads photo tours around the most beautiful areas of Crete and Lesbos, covering everything from spectacular landscapes to villages dappled with sunlight and shadow.
