Brits especially seem to love Greek beer. LJ writes "After ... drinking Mythos lager over many years on numerous islands, Kephalonia, Thassos, Samos, and Lesvos ,I endeavoured to find a supply in the UK. The importers in London do not have a northern retailer, but I did obtain a supply from a greek taverna in Carlisle. Also the shop "Foods of the world" in St Helens can suppply. At last, even though the weather isn't Greek, I can still enjoy the lager."
BG notes "I have noticed a Greek beer that has been popping up all over Florida mainly in the Miami - Ft. Lauderdale area. The beer is called Athenian and being I'm not one to veer away from my brand I sampled it at a festival. The beer is wonderful and I have since become a believer in Greek Beer. However, I tried a different brand of Greek beer and it was no where near the Athenian. I thought to write you about it, you may already be aware but just in case. And as the Greeks always say, "OPA!"
Recommended for tired Monastiraki shoppers, Alpha has a devoted but anonymous fan who admires its surprisingly restorative taste, golden color, and foamy head. PB states it's "Even better than Mythos!"
