Heat and crowds can strip the ancient mystery from any of Greece's fantastic sights. If you're traveling with a coach tour, it's likely you'll be in the heart of the crowds. But if you're on your own, a little planning can make your dream trip to Greece even better.

Remember it this way - Make no mistake - go early or go late! Mornings and as late in the afternoon as closing time will allow will give you the best light for photos and the coolest (in both temperature and mood), least crowded environments. You'll get the best look at the Greek architecture and without hundreds of fellow tourists, you can see and understand the archaeology of the sites much better.
