I love it when Greece gets its fair share of accolades - and so it was a pleasure to see Greece pop up in not one but two slots on the Orange County Register's travel roundup for 2012. First-time Greece visitor and Orange County Register travel editor Gary A. Warner, in a year crammed with international travels, named Santorini as "Most Beautiful" - and then added his favorite souvenir from that same busy year - the blue-glass charms which you can find nearly everywhere in Greece, Santorini included.
