Athens Greece has a vast and edgy artistic scene which is often missed by visitors intent on seeing what was the "newest thing" 2500 years ago. Panos Tsagaris draws from the later Graeco-Egyptian traditions of Isis and Osiris and collides them with modern Greek newspaper stories - adorning the physical papers themselves with gold. The fragmented result is disturbing and somehow, strangely hopeful. Been there, done that ... and survived to tell the tale a couple of millennia later. Through January 5th, 2013.
