Ryanair Adds Paphos Routes

Ultra-budget airline Ryanair has announced it will be adding routes to and from Paphos in Cyprus in 2012. While the routes won't start until later in the year, they are bookable now.

This should expand opportunities to combine a visit to Greece with a trip to the island nation(s) of Cyprus. Ryanair flights will be offered between Thessaloniki and Paphos as well as a much more unusual routing between the city of Patras in the Peloponnese Peninsula and Paphos. There will also be flights between Chania, on the island of Crete, and Paphos.

Paphos is famous for its summertime "Aphrodite Festival" a celebration of the arts which attracts thousands of visitors.

While seats on Ryanair can be great bargains, they are notoriously picky on the details and extra fees can add up, so be cautious when booking and you may want to read the fee schedules and change policies with more than your usual attention.
