No "Kefi" Left in Keftedes for Greeks?

At this point, almost everyone knows that the financial crisis in Greece and its prescribed "austerity" are hard on the Greeks - but surely the land and people who invented "kefi" - the resilient happiness that often manifests in the enjoyment of Greek food, drink, and dance - would still take comfort in simple pleasures.

Not according to one Greek chef based in Paris, who is finding that even the cheering powers of a good plate of keftedes - Greek meatballs - is failing to cheer up fellow Greeks. And while it sounds like something to smile about, it's accompanied by an increase in stress-related hospital admissions and even a markedly higher suicide rate in Greece.
