Contact your airline! It looks like the 24-hour general strike scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th is on and it will affect flights into, out of, and around Greece. It starts at midnight local Greek time tonight (Tuesday night) and extends to midnight Wednesday. Airlines are rescheduling flights; contact your airline. Remember that virtually all public transportation throughout Greece will also be halted, at least part of the day. In Athens, Kathimerini reports that the Metro will be running, but will not be going all the way to the airport (not much point without flights), and that trolleys, trams, and buses will be operating on limited schedules. The intercity trains and suburban railway will not be operating.
