It's getting easier and cheaper to get to Greece by train, and new Rail passes are hard to resist. My favorite: a combination pass for Greece and Italy, allowing you to easily visit both Rome and Athens on the same trip.
When considering passes, remember: most discount travel passes need to be purchased before you arrive in Europe. They won't be available once you've left your home country. And read the details carefully - many passes actually tend to favor the more organized traveler over the true free spirit.
