Greek Olive Oil: It's In Your Genes

A new report on the benefits of extra-virgin olive oil shows a surprising result - olive oil actually changes the way human genes work, reducing the risk of heart disease. This means that the delightful "Mediterranean Diet", originally researched on Crete, may be even more potent for health than previously believed. Since Greek olive oil from Crete is, in my opinion, the very best in the world, if you've ever wanted to "be Greek", ingesting olive oil from there might be one way to "Greek up"!

Of course, since Italy is one of the biggest importers of Greek olive oil, that "Italian" bottle on your shelf may already contain quite a bit of stealth olive oil from Greece.
Even just the olive leaves are believed to have potent powers, which launched an olive leaf frenzy in Greece a few years ago.
