Travelers to Greece and the Greek Islands have benefited from this particular saint, Christodoulos the Wonder-Worker of Patmos, who founded the monastery of St. John the Evangelist on the Greek island of Patmos, sometimes called the "Jerusalem of the Aegean". The still-functioning monastery has a world-class collection of manuscripts and visitors can visit the cave where John is said to have written the Book of Revelations during his stay on the island.
