Winter sports in Greece, anyone? Some are surprised to even learn that Greece has a ski season, but snowboarding is catching on, especially with the younger crowd.
Snowboarders and skiers have their own bus in the winter which travels between Athens and two of the best snowboarding spots, just in case you're risk-accepting enough to snowboard, but, wisely, risk-adverse enough to not want to drive on winding, narrow Greek mountain roads during a snowstorm. Like skiing, snowboarding in Greece is still a bargain, even in the face of the spiraling Euro.
