On this Day in Greece - November 8th

Philip of Macedon's tomb was discovered on this date in 1977 by Greek archaeologist Manolis Andronikos. Some debate whether or not this is actually the tomb of Alexander the Great's father , but there's no doubt that the tomb site at Vergina is a popular one for visitors to Northern Greece.
