It's great that Greece has its Carnival season this year on a different date than much of the rest of the world - an intrepid traveler could visit Brazil or New Orleans and then pop over to Greece to start the fun all over again. It would be really easy to go to carnevale in Venice, Italy, then hop on the ferry and head to Greece. I’ve taken that ferry straight from Venice to Greece (two nights). It’s a great way to see the best of both countries.
