How Expensive is Greece?

It's hard to compare countries because there are so many factors on how people like to travel, what is an acceptable hotel and daily rate, and so on. But one way is to use the U.S. State Department "per diem" allowance - what they are willing to reimburse for their employees staying in a foreign country. It's oddly compelling to compare the daily cost for Athens, Greece with, say, Algeria or Paris, France.
