Tourists, Greeks, and the Greek government are all breathing a sigh of relief as the protests throughout Greece seemed to be calming down. During the day on Thursday, there were still a few sporadic bursts of activity, but initial reports were that they were almost entirely focused on local police stations in areas outside the center of Athens. Thursday night saw increased protests with more conflicts with Athens police and marchers. And additional formal protest rallies are scheduled for Friday and Monday.
