Athens, Mykonos and Rome - Air, Hotels from about $1100 per person

Monday November 3, 2008
Like to country-hop as well as island-hop? This 6-day multiple-destination offer from European Destinations may be right for you. Depending on your departure city and dates, you can visit both Italy and Greece with all flights included beginning at about $1100 per person, based on double occupancy. Rates vary substantially for different dates, and only dates for the next few months are available.

To save you some search time, European Destinations primarily uses departure dates falling on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On this particular trip, it covers your airfare to and from the U.S., flight between Rome and Athens, and your round-trip flight to the Greek island of Mykonos. I upgraded the hotel in Athens on my test itinerary, getting out of the Omonia Square area and closer to the Plaka, which is better for sightseeing. You can also add extra hotel days which I recommend; otherwise, jetlag will eat up at least one or two days of your trip.
