Halloween in Greece

Wednesday October 29, 2008
Halloween in Greece - Pumpkin patch on the Greek island of Milos.Like many holidays, Halloween trick-or-treating may have had its roots in Ancient Greece, where religious processions and groups of children singing songs may have resulted in the handing out of a "treat" or offering. In modern Greece, Halloween is just making its presence felt with shops selling costumes and a few places providing a spooky event or - even more frightening - a glass of orange ouzo to commemorate the day.
