St. Patrick's Day in Greece

Sunday March 16, 2008
No, St. Patrick did not drive the crawling snakes out of Greece - but at the vigorous St. Patrick's Day celebrations at the many Irish pubs throughout Greece and the Greek islands, you may start to think he must have at least invented the pub crawl in Greece.

Plus, there's no need to dye the beer green - Mythos Beer is practially the national beer of Greece - and it comes in a bright green bottle. You can even order it by just asking for "The Green One". What could be better for St. Patrick's Day? More on:

LOL! He seems to have opened a number of bars and introduced a few pub crawls here in Tenerife too. Very well traveled saint, isn’t he?

Those mariner or peripatetic saints did get around. Seems as if, as a group, they seemed to like islands in particular. Perfect for Greece!
