Rough Week in Greece

Traveling in Greece right now? It has some special challenges as strikes by power company workers protesting pension changes have resulted in numerous blackouts. Trash collectors have also been on strike for the same reasons.

And at Olympic Airlines, a lack of staffing has delayed numerous flights over the past few days. Other planned strikes against the government pension plans are expected to disrupt the electric railways and may affect other transportation and businesses if workers are unable to get into downtown Athens.

Of course, some of us create our own "blackouts" in Greece - here's how to avoid an unnecessary one when you arrive a little too tired at your first hotel in Greece.
