The Antikythera Bird Observatory on the small Greek island of Antikythera is looking for volunteers for its early spring season. Starting in mid-March, they need people who can stay for two weeks and who are savvy at identifying European birds of prey as they migrate through.

Birders in Greece are breathing a sigh of relief this week - the European Court has decided that Greece is in violation of conservation requirements and must move to put more areas under protection.
Are you not for the birds? In that case, consider participating helping turtles over hurdles, volunteering at Greek vet hospitals, or many other charitable volunteer opportunities in Greece.
