Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum Reopens

Friday July 14, 2006
Greek museum lovers and Alexander the Great buffs can rejoice - the excellent collection at the Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum has reopened.

In other Greek museum news, potential visitors to Crete may be depressed to learn that the Heraklion Archaeological Museum is slated to close for a similar renovation beginning in October, 2006. If you needed another reason to go to Greece this year, seeing this unparalleled collection of mainly Minoan artifacts before it closes might just be the incentive you need to go to Greece now rather than later.
