Summer Jobs in Greece - End of the Party?

It's a dream of many young visitors to Greece - go to Greece, work in a bar or hotel, have a great time and possibly even break even on the travel costs by the end of the summer. And it does work out that way some of the time. But on the island of Zakynthos, Greek authorities are cracking down on foreigners, using the lack of a state-mandated health permit as the reason. So, the question is - is illicitly working in Greece worth the chance of being deported?
