Carnival in Greece

This weekend is Greek "Mardi Gras", the festival of apokrias.

The celebration is especially vivid in Patras, but more and more cities and towns are spiffing up their celebrations.

Missing the festivities this year? Plan ahead - next year the biggest weekend will be early - Friday, February 16th through Sunday, February 18th. What a great way to liven up your winter!
