Germany Plays the Heel for Greece

Sunday January 15, 2006
A small fragment of marble at Heidelberg University in Germany depicting a man's heel may be literally part of the first step in the eventual return of the Parthenon Marbles to Greece, BBC NEWS reports. The fragment, of unknown origin but probably a souvenir picked up by an early and illicit tourist, is being offered back to Greece in exchange for another piece of Greek art.

Will Britain and the Parthenon Marbles at the British Museum be next? Not veddy likely... but this increases the international pressure one more notch.
