Last Day of the Olympic Games

Sunday August 29, 2004
I'm back in front of the television set for the final day of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. It was even tougher than usual to leave such a radiant Greece, but outbound flights were rare and the tickets I held couldn't be changed unless I committed to another ten days in Greece. It was almost too great a temptation to resist, but I did. Still, I can't wait to go back, as September and October in Greece look like they will be especially glorious months for travel this year, with many special events and extended hours lingering at least through the Paralympic Games in Greece in September.

If you're traveling in Greece, keep an eye out for the Paralympic Torch which will visit dozens of locations prior to its arrival in Athens on September 17th.
