A Kinder, Gentler Athens

ATHENS, Greece - I'm still joyfully discovering the ease of public transportation in the "new" Athens. In the past, it was something best avoided. But now, the Metro is a pleasure. The Syntagma Square station even offers an archaeological exhibit.
Going through the streets of Athens, a city-wide installation of art called "Catch the Light" provides interactive exhibits. One in Monastiraki offers a series of transparent plexiglass "rooms" lit with neon lights, reflecting back your image bathed in the rich colored lights. It's not quite the traditional "light of Greece" but it's definitely illuminating.
